General
This year’s EFSA English Shore Section championship will be fished at Samphire Hoe unless Covid restrictions prevent this happening.
N.B. The information below may be subject to change to ensure compliance with Covid restrictions in place at the time.
Fishing will be over two days on Samphire Hoe subject to weather conditions. One rod, maximum three hooks. The matches will be zoned based on the number of entries.
This is a bait supplied match. Subject to availability the bait will consist of wraps of normal rag (no harbour or whites) and a small amount of mackerel each day. Bait cannot be carried over to the next day.
Overhead casting only.
Entry fee includes bait and Samphire Hoe angling charges.

This will be a measure and return match using the SAMF type points system with an 18cm minimum size limit except for all dogfish will be given 35 points.
The winner of each zone will be the angler accumulating the most fish points. The winner of each zone being awarded 1 match point with subsequent anglers being award points based on their position in the zone, e.g. 2nd 2 points, 3rd 3 points etc. Anglers who do not score or hand in their match cards will be awarded the maximum peg number plus 1 (i.e. if the end peg number is 10 then blank is 11 points). Overall winner will be the angler with the lowest combined zone points over the two days.
N.B. Match pegs must be returned with the match card for it to be accepted.

Fishing Information
There should be wrasse, pollack, pout and dogfish but anything could turn up. Note that this venue is rocky in places.
Venue Access
Access to Samphire Hoe is off the Dover to Folkestone dual carriageway of the A20.
Access through a traffic light controlled tunnel. Postcode CT17 9Fl.
Note access is only available from the west bound carriageway.
There is a large pay and display car park, toilets and a tea kiosk.
Prize Giving
EFSA pins will only be awarded if there is an entry of 18 or more anglers. Prizes will be all cash envelopes for Daily Zone winners and Overall top three anglers. There will also be blind drawn three-man team prize.
Pools for best wrasse and best pollack each day will be run for those that wish to enter.
